Give viscosity a temperature and method
Name the product stream, solids, temperature, instrument and shear or speed conditions of the method. Previous preparation and particles affect the measured value, so isolated numbers from unlike methods cannot select a pump.
Test the actual high-solids transfer and heat duty
Thick puree imposes different buffer-tank outlet, pump-suction and tubular heat-transfer duties from dilute prepared liquid. Test the representative composition and operating range rather than one generic viscosity.
Inspect deposits over the intended run
Monitor pressure and heat transfer across the tubular skid and inspect deposited material after a representative run. Choose CIP circuits and separate pulper-screen access from the actual product and cleaning result.
