Use the operating volume
Working volume lies between the selected high and low operating levels. It accommodates short supply changes while maintaining the downstream inlet condition. Feed pattern, interruption time and pump inlet requirements determine the usable range, rather than shell volume alone.
Plan the product low point
For thick puree, review the tank outlet and complete suction route with the transfer pump. Bends, elevation and pipe diameter affect that connection. For a thinner extract, feed stability and allowed hold conditions still determine the operating arrangement.
Keep cleaning access available
Top access and the service platform must remain usable after installation. Vessel walls, connected valves and outlet low points belong in the cleaning boundary. Internal fittings and cleaning devices are selected in the individual vessel specification.
